You might want a robot to prepare paints for you and put them into convenient containers, to prepare and trim brush hairs put them in a ferrule onto a stick, prepare canvas or other substrates, cut frame pieces at precise and repeatable angles, or wash/clean up.

That would leave you to the creative part of painting, while removing some of the more mechanical and less creative parts.
