It's a difficult subject, and it seems to me that the authors got confused / overreached themselves in the second half. For example, one of their diagrams shows Temporal/Cadence being used together with Zeebe/Camunda in the same backend. This would be an extremely complicated and redundant bad idea and I believe no-one with expertise in the area would consider it for a moment.
