¹In which you will by the way immediately notice on the maps that India, 1.4 Bil ppl (current top populated country or reaching it), has not signed the Convention against Torture. In local legislation, it is punished as violence but «the offense attracts no particular relevance if the crime is committed by a police officer» (see http://www.humanrights.asia/tortures/torture-in-india/ ).
