You are conflating "science" and "scientist" here. The way science overcomes bias is two-fold: 1) by training scientists to be aware of their own biases, and 2) by having multiple scientists, each with their own biases, try to reproduce the same experimental results.
Your artificial example is just that, they all fail 1).
