Much of the author’s problem seems to arise in their practice of never cleaning up their to-do stack.

One must be ready to part with ideas that have not been acted on for a while. It’s not the computer desktop’s responsibility.

All the while I agree with the general idea that powerful search on the desktop still has potential for further development.
