However, one thing is apparent and that's despite there being many quite logical theories about it there's no clear proof about why the parasites and those being parasitized act the way they do—see my comment to vagrantJin.

IIRC the light coming from in front of you gets blue shifted, each photon increasing in energy, and the count increases because of the geometric changes you see in the video (the angles in front seem to shrink).
Light from the rear red shifts (each photon has less energy), and there are fewer as some of the (formerly incident) photons "rotated" to the front.

No, they also work for money and would snitch on friends to make money. It’s not like other secret services don’t have similar patterns but they’re unequivocally bad. What comes to mind is Saudi Arabia dissidents info sold for money, iphone security broken, lives destroyed or severed completely and solely for money.
