Wow, that’s weird. I tried Bengali, but the text transcribed into Hindi!I know there are some similar words in these languages, but I used pure Bengali that is not similar to Hindi.

Well, on the linked page, it mentions "strong transcription performance in 13 languages, including [...] Hindi" but with no mention of Bengali. It probably doesn't know a lick of Bengali, and is just trying to snap your words into the closest language it does know.

it must have some exposure to bengali— just not enough for them to advertise it. otherwise it would have a damn hard time.

1.5 years ago I bought a Orange Pi Zero for less than 20 USD. I am using this device for pihole. Without any issue, it is running smoothly.

With 10 USD, I can buy 1 weeks worth of food in my country. I wish SASS, software providers like Jetbrains adjusts their price based on country per capita.

Is your developer salary also adjusted based on country per capita? Or are you getting a mostly Western salary?

Not the parent - it is definitely a better pay than other salaries in the country, but for example in Hungary a junior gets around like 2000 USD (per month) gross (and we have quite huge income tax here as well). Around 2600 USD it would be considered a nice senior salary.

Sounds like it's a better deal to just remain a permanent junior?

Steam does it very well for games, pricing games differentially such that they are much cheaper in 3rd world countries. JetBrains could do something similar too.

Developer wages too vary from country to country.

Steam basically turned it on for every developer until a lot of them noticed how little are they getting from some countries. If iPhones and TV cost the same I'm not sure why software products should.

If its a question of a little vs nothing, it is better to have atleast a little IMHO.

People in rich countries hate it when companies do that. There's also the additional hassle of verifying addresses. All so you can get a little extra money from some poor countries. I can see why they wouldn't bother.

JetBrains are from a low income country themselves.

I am using Contabo for the last 8 months. So far I didn't find any issues.

Not everyone living in first world countries. For me, arduino is cheap(clone), required much less power than any SBC. Power outage is common in my area. Memory card of any SBC can't survive frequent power outage .

Care to explain ? I have an "un-rooted" android phone, I can use call recorder without rooting

There are many call recorders, from ones that activate the speaker and record through the mic to others that activate a threeway call and record that way.

The one I prefer is one which taps into the audio at the core level and captures the stream -> https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/get

I am using Windows 10 Firewall Control (http://sphinx-soft.com/Vista/) .

I use this on my gaming machine and it works really well.
