The right way to go about it is get a good lawyer to represent you. It seems like an overkill but sounds like you can afford it. My valid visa case was rejected by INS and I was asked to go through a number of hoops because the lawyer had entered information in a different format. I changed lawyers and it made a sea of difference. Learnt the lesson that never skimp on lawyers. Try talking to Aron Finklestein or Alisa Klein at http://www.murthy.com/attprofi.html. They charge 200$ for a 20 min consult and will tell you what to do exactly. I was not sure if 20 mins would be enough to explain my complex case but 20 mins is all it took for them to come up with a strategy. Best of luck.

Remember though, the country is in a state of emergency (As it has been for the last 30 years). I am not sure those rules apply in a state of emergency.

I do not think the bankers you hired are doing a good job. There is a lot of money sitting in private equity which will love to have this company at the correct price.

They are one of the best immigration lawyer teams that I have dealt with. They are the only firm where every member of the team seems to understand all the fine nuances of immigration law and how it can be used to your benefit. Having a bad or just an OK lawyer is expensive in the long run when it comes to immigration.

eBay did not loose much money on the Skype acquisition. They were able to sell for what they bought it for which not a bad deal.

Still a bad acquisition overall - one of those "what were they thinking" things? It's like they bought a company because it was cool, not because it had a place in the portfolio or they offered something of value to the core business (or even a tangential spinoff business).

Unless Skype made them a lot of money to make up for it, what about interest on that $3bn?

One of the lead programmers of JAWS is Glen Gordon. He is blind is one of the smartest programmers I have known.

St Pete is FL or St Pete in Russia? I would be amazed if you got a single room for 2000$ a year in St Pete FL.

I am about 15 miles from St. Pete, FL, 75 yards from the Gulf of Mexico, in a nice sized one bedroom apartment with parking and small fenced yard: $700/mo. Gorgeous sunsets through the big west facing front windows, and 20 miles of sandy beach to get AFK and clear my head, throw a disc, walk, swim, or fish.

But I could trade it for a couch and a subway pass in a city with good subways and international impact. (SF, NYC, CHI, BOS ;)

You can definitely get a decent room in a 2-3 person apartment in Astoria (Queens) for $700/month. It's not Chelsea but it's not quite the middle of nowhere either.

I think many people outside of New York wouldn't ever consider an apartment share, but it's pretty common here. I live near Times Square in Manhattan and I'm paying $900 for a room in a (small) two bedroom apartment.

Russia :-)

Coke is now wanting to reacquire the bottling business to keep the costs low. Last year Pepsi re-acquired its entire bottling business and runs it by itself.

Yeah, if you watch his comments on CNBC, he was a bit disappointed by that decision since it will consume more capital in the business. He prefers just owning the concentrate business.

Would it not be slow? Binarizing and OCR'ing documents is not cheap. I would hate it if I had to wait for 2 minutes before I could pick the printout.

Buy it in India. Dell sells them at reasonable prices. http://www.dell.co.in/
