Wonderful! I've given it a go, works in Apple's Notes app, but it does not seem to trigger suggestions in Chrome, Firefox or Slack. It does however highlight misspellings there. Any idea what can I do to enable suggestions there? I was looking for a product like this.

Same! Interested in this but need it to work for Slack, where I often type more informally and don't take the time I should to proofread.

Same here, but Siri also does not trigger its textual improving LLM thingy in the context menu in Firefox.

It basically invalidates modern science in the same way Einstein invalidated Newtonian physics. It would mean we have pretty good approximation on how things work, but we are fundamentally wrong. So it would be an exciting time to be a physicist, as it would force us to rethink how things really are from atoms, to stars and the beginning of the universe.

It does not invalidate science. The scientific method is the process by which we build gradually towards a clearer picture of the ground truth if there is one. Even if by “science” you just meant our current understanding of the universe as opposed to the method we gain that understanding, then this would not invalidate that, it only invalidates a small part.

Yes, we are fundamentally wrong, I would hope that all physicists recognise that we don’t have a perfect explanation for how things work yet, this would be just another step in that process, but an exciting one indeed.

Thanks for point it out. I meant physics, not science :)

Doesn't the fact that both General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics don't make correct predictions at all scales already show we're fundamentally wrong?

Maybe. Maybe not. There might not be a Universal Theory of Everything. Everyone hopes there's something and most scientists do believe that something is out there, but the idea that there might be reasons we can't unify them or that there are physical limits that prevent us from gathering the information we need to fully suss things out isn't exactly fringe science.

EU have enough influence to do to IPV6 what it did to USB in iPhones.

It's harder to prove consumer harm with something as abstract as IP addresses, and there's a bunch of other pieces that make this much less unlikely, such as the fact that USBs already become obsolete and need to be replaced, so you're just shifting the replacement cycle.

With all those addresses locked up at the hyperscalers IPv4 has become anticompetitive. So yes, the EU can prove consumer harm.

They don’t need to prove consumer harm to pass laws.

exactly. US anti-trust requires you prove harm to the consumer. In the EU, anti-competitive behavior is enough.

Actually the US gov’t adopted a policy last November to migrate all services to ipv6 by 2025. So the USA might have some weight in the migration.

Stupid question: is this yearly or monthly salary?

In the UK it’s a safe assumption that it’s yearly, gross.

Yearly.

Weekly obviously /s

Of course with a bajillion worth of stock options to go with it.

Hey, can you elaborate or contact me via [redacted]? I am pondering about this issue as well and I would love to speak with you.

I'd be happy to.

Thank you for your feedback.

We thought that it would be best if you test it with your own file. In that case we need to send you link to analytics in case you want to remove pdf from our servers.

Your suggestion seems to have potential to considerably lower friction. We will look into it, thanks.

You could just delete files created with no email after a few hours.

Our tracking feature is a kind of a website analytics tool tailored for PDF usage. When interacting with companies you can safely assume that you are being tracked and analysed. We are adding another layer that gives companies additional information, potentially making your life a little bit easier. Of course one can argue it can be misused. We have tried to mitigate it by branding PDF viewer and being open about it.

Welcome to the new normal ... I realize this is standard practice under the veil of "increasing customer satisfaction using large scale data analysis" but it still feels iffy if stated explicitly.

Thank you :) We have never intended to show adds. In our opinion it could be counterproductive in the long term. Our monetization strategy assumes having free pdf sharing to spread the word and paying enterprise customers to pay the bills. Yet it is about to be tested.
