Interesting extension

Thanks Hieu

Hi everyone, I'm the developer behind GasbyAI.

Initially, GasbyAI is a ChatGPT alternative that wrap around OpenAI API. I've been working adding more apps that leverage the power of GPT and APIs provided by OpenAI.

Recently, I published Gasby Talk, an app that is similar to Apple's Siri. It requires an OpenAI API Key to use for free, or you can subscribe to a Gasby's plan. To start using it, just press the mic button, and ask questions. When you pause for at least 3 seconds, it'll start process and response/talk to you.

At the moment, the app use browser's API to listen to your talk (speech to text), and response to you (text to speech). These APIs are only limited to Chrome (not other Chromium-based browser), and Safari.

I'll be adding more features from Gasby Chat, ie get latest info from search, plugins etc.

If you have any feedback, please let me know

Just another ChatGPT on top of OpenAI.

Though I built it because I love the macOS frosted style, with a bunch of AI characters to try out.

Hope you like it

> Edit: Haha! You really use JavaScript...

This site was build with a site builder. The content are streamed

Can you explain “eight thirteen character columns next to each other”? I don’t get the reference

Now you know what happens when stupid architecture meets an ad blocker. :-)

Recommend by Google Lighthouse for lazy load content.

I guess you have problem with loading the content. Maybe a straight answer would help because I don’t have that problem

Which ad blocker are you using?

uMatrix.

I need to unblock unpkg.com, inverr.com and gstatic.com, so that it works.

Lazy-loading the main content, especially if it's just text, is inane. You have clearly misunderstood Lighthouse's advice.

> uMatrix

Thanks for the info. It allows blocks requests from 3rd party domains (which is quite strict imo)

I’ll try to work them out.

You’re not wrong

That’s what I concern too, whether they talked for themselves or making conversation.

Though I’m not looking for an idea to work on. Just curious and want to see something unusual

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

I’d be skeptic about ideas that someone came up by thinking.

I’ll give it a look anyway

Ah. I can see HN is a good place to learn problems.

i.e when someone posted a new or exisiting product, sometimes people will use them for comparison, or talking about missing features

As you said, there can be false expertise discussion too.

Thanks for the idea

This is so true in most of the cases.

It could be, since it provide good performance. But definitely not for serious apps.
