I've noticed a pattern in comedians who have a funny set but never make it big. They have a shtick that works, lean into it, then end up using it as a crutch.
In Calgary I've used a parking machine that asked for a lot number. That is on a sign as you enter the parking lot. As if this machine could not be programmed to already know which lot of was permanently installed in.
My commute goes past a velodrome that sits next to a short, steep hill. Every day there were new times on that hill that would be difficult for some cars to achieve. It was pretty obvious that many people forget to turn it off, and never bother to trim the data.
