Whats Andy Rubins take on this ? The original developer/contributor to android os itself

I still only have CRT, No matter how much i browse shopping sites or visit showrooms, i cannot make up my mind buying newer tv, lcd, led, plasma, oled etc, so much new technologies have arrived but i have'nt tried them for TV Yet as of today

My tv's have gone through real stress test in real life unlike factories

During childhood, we had our tv Switched on in morning 4:00 till 22:00 at night, constantly being watched 16-18 hrs a day during weekends and vacations (45 days), while least 10hrs a day during weekdays , for last 22 years

I only had 2 crt in my 30yrs of lifetime, Sansui and Samsung, channel broadcasters being changed from Tetrestrial Channels --> FTA Antenna --> Cable Tv --> Satellite Dish from time to time

Newer tv cannot cope up with such lenghty watchtimes,

Still RCA Only, no HDMI, Tv still have its Radio Antenna port on top

I think it was because old TVs already had wide gamut, so sRGB meant a significant reduction. It never was "contrast" as such. Anything made today is vastly better than any CRT.

CRTs are a very interesting display technology with their refresh rate and clarity. I'd like to see an "HD" CRT someday, and however many tons it would weigh!

Until very recently I had a Bang and Olufsen CRT, and it was by far the best picture I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately “small” (32”) yet simultaneously weighed a ton.

PC monitors were already HD. If you have the chance, watch a HD video on a big enough PC monitor, the picture quality is quite impressive.

There’s some that have high resolution. There were some consumer 1080i sets I think.

How do you feel about having so much screentime?

Terrarium TV Was OG which gave rise to forks like corn Time, Cinema APK, TeaTV, BeeTv

Thats why proofreading jobs still exist

The server returns the HTML ready to display directly. End of story.

What server doing ? it uses cgi, python, etc myriad of scripts to generate html

Whats better, a button click and js in browser opens a menu, or fetching a new html with menu open

All facts aside, Thunderbird is portable, you can install it on usb and carry your mailbox in pocket, connect to any pc and access without touching host filesystem, if pc has internet browse new mails and all

i always carry it on pendrive with encrypted partition, and encryption software is also natively installed on usb, so no use of host pc for anything, mail or decryption

Not just that, you have all your emails with you, even without internet, even when aws/azure/cloudflare/... fails, plus you can write replies and everything else while offline and just send/sync when you get internet access (eg. on a cheap flight with expensive wifi).

Many things don't need an app, a web site is enough (and they somehow force apps onto us), but email, especially with something like thunderbird is a great thing to have directly installed on your pc (or portable with you).

And you randomly use public or other peoples computers? Seems more inconvenient than just having email on your phone.

why no mention of awk ? awk '!a[$0]++'

I've added awk into the benchmarks also!

Also perl, should be faster than awk IIRC:

perl -ne 'print if ! $a{$_}++'

its not gun detection that ai is racist just like its white creators

i don't understand people believe it whether you accept or deny, does it matter if i had to log i will its not my site will have to pass all test about malpractice before being publish, or on everyday basis

Those prompt are not real prompts from browser permission system itself that if you deny will prevent site from accesing any data

those are dummy

Been setteled on https://scintilla.org/SciTE.html It has simplicity + extensible for any language, you can create your own linter + highlighter

Its nothing bloated, its not embedded ide like vscode and all

Rather scite is just gui frontend for cli based binaries, it uses programming environments you have installed on your os

Just like old time on cmd or sh, we used compilers eg javac or cpp

Now scite just make it easy, its exactly same as borland turbo, you add path to your compiler binaries in scite and done you click compile or run,

Plus its lightweight and portable, carry it in usb and run on any computer by just setting paths to compiler and executor binaries
