I'm offended by your complaints. See how quickly this gets out of hand.

This whole comment reads like PLA astroturf.

Oh man I forgot about Planetside 2! Super underrated, it came out in a huge FPS glut in the market. I dig huge combined arms stuff but man I used to die to snipers in that game so much haha.

Even specifies "Uber" Eats. That's a CEO right there.

Exactly. The man doesn't have an off switch. It's like Alec Baldwin talking to the sales guys: "Always be closing!"

Anybody who is interested in the numbers on this should checkout the work being done at drawdown.org. Afforestation is ranked #15 out of a list of solutions to reduce the carbon content of our atmosphere and reduce global warming. They have models and data if you want.

So every physical pen tester I know is a woman. Coincidence? Maybe....

I think a lot of the commentary on Juicero misses the real skeleton in the closet.

The product was designed to specifically to justify the business model of the DRM pulp packets and thus MRR for the purpose of revenue and growth. Everything about it looks like they designed the packets and juice pulp DRM features first, then backfilled the rest of the mechanical design to support the REAL features (keeping people buying your fruit packages) and not the FAKE features (juicing?).

Many people talk about the ring roller/ toothpaste squeezer method being easier. Of course! But how do you do DRM with that? It's trickier. How do you scan the barcode and also keep your customers from using off brand K-Cups, I'm sorry I mean, fruit pulp packets.

It's obvious for $800 they could have designed an amazing conventional juicer, which actually would be a better product. But how do you get monthly recurring revenue out of that and thus justification for raising millions in venture capitalist money?

Juicero is a great example of dark hardware design and a cautionary tail about the hubris of the "if you build it" risk management strategy.

Why would drm be harder with a roller? If it's in the housing most people aren't going to open it and override even a simple drm mechanism

I guess you like eating apples that taste like wood chips then. Organic is how farmers have been doing it for 10,000+ years of farming, the in-organic kind was invented in the last century by RoundUp and MiracleGro and friends. Pouring industrially produced chemicals into fields of neatly rowed (and erosion prone) staple monocrops is a recipe for failure and more dustbowls and global nutrient debt. Please don't sell organic farming down the river it's going to save us all.

The smart money is on biodynamic farming. It's a 100+ year old system that leverages natural synergy to maximize sustainable, quality output.

"cultural appropriation" is a joke. Culture IS appropriation. That's how you GET culture, is to get it from somewhere....as if white people are supposed to not embrace other things outside of their so called ancestry, which is riddled with variety and "cultural appropriation". My Norse and Germanic ancestors loved appropriating cultures and I have the genes I have today because they grabbed shiny stuff they liked. Whiny normative lefties with too much to do.
