Please elaborate

The YouTube video above is inaccurate. Simon says we tend to pursue nuclear weapons back then, it’s not true. It’s in our constitution that specifically states we don’t intend to pursue nuclear weapons.

Plus, that plant is not designed to create weapons grade nuclear weapons.

this is not accurate.

what he said was "Former Marcos Deputies have alleged that it was also intended to facilitate nuclear weapon design"

Also, its not like The Marcos regime was a stickler for the rules mate....

I’m always genuinely surprised when I see this sentiment expressed here on HN.

Do you use a hammer to code? A keyboard to paint your walls? Do you strap phones to your feet to move faster or do you use a bike for that?

Technology and other tools very much shape what we do and can do with them. We shape them and they shape us.

Thank you but I actually got a somewhat worthless graduate degree in this stuff.

Do you agree with their statement on technology as a tool as opposed to something that makes our lives easier then?

Can't imagine willingly using a tool that I assess makes my life more difficult.

But that doesn't mean that tools don't make others lives more difficult.

Missiles as a tool to do damage don't necessarily make other peoples lives easier. But it might make the lives easier of those who wish to do damage.

Technology is a tool, which can be used to make lives easier and harder.

"Every person using technology will make every other person's life easier" is not the correct interpretation of the original statement.

The Twitter account you used as source is a far-right, pro-Russian troll. Not very trustworthy.

Don’t think the Kiev Independent guys have access to Mariupol right now, I just copy-pasted from Twitter one of the first results of “Mariupol new apartments” search. You’re right, most probably those reporting from inside Russian-controlled Mariupol are pro-Russian.

Russia's goal with Mariupol seems to be razing the damaged parts of the city to cover up the destruction and their war crimes (see the mariupol theater), and rebuild new buildings on top, to proclaim that it's now a much better city under russian leadership.

Of course, ukraine would probably have razed or reconstructed these buildings, but the russian way seems to be explicitly done as a cover-up and propaganda operation.

I really doubt they can afford that level of public spending in other cities, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that these construction projects only cover a small portion of the destroyed buildings. To say nothing about the quality of the hastily constructed flats.

Where can we get Mariupol footage of whats happening now?
